December 2013

Hello all. As I enter the last month of 2013, I cannot help but reflect on the past year. I started this year with no hope of employment. Now I have just finished taking a class at H & R Block to be a tax preparer. I will know if I will be hired. I believe that I will be. For now I am taking it easy and I am trying to enjoy the end of 2013.
I am also helping my friend Mysti Parker as she celebrates 50,000 Hit Giveaway. She is AWESOME!! If you get the chance, please visit her Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/mysti.parker?fref=ts&ref=br_tf. And also please visit her contest page at Unwritten. You still have a chance to win some great prizes!!
My family is doing well. My older sister is on the mend after her arms became weak and she could barely move. Her massage person has helped her more than her regular doctor. Go figure!!!
My twin sister and her family are doing well also. As Christmas comes close, I think she is going to get busier and busier. I am going to make myself available for a lot of babysitting. I really enjoy babysitting for them. I make sure that the time that I spend with them does not get overloaded. I make sure that I come back to my apartment for a couple of days in between. Sometimes it feels nice to be at my own place.
My parents are ok. They live in New Mexico and they just got back from a trip to Arizona. I got a call from them today, mainly my dad, asking how I was doing and wanting to know how my class went and I told them that everything (job interview on Monday and Exam on Tuesday) went very well and I believe that I will be hired next week. It took a lot of work but I made it through.

Please feel free to check out my FB page: Andrews FB Page and leave me a comment. This is my first blog in a long time so if there is anything that you would like to see on my blog, please leave me a comment here and I will definitely try to post.
Have a great day everyone!!

Have a very safe and Happy Holiday Season!!

May 2 2013

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today is Thursday May 2, 2013 and here is what is happening with me. Back in February as I was walking home from my daily trip to the local branch of the library, just as I was about to cross the street right in front of my house, I slipped and fell on ice. I did not know it at the time, but I had just broke my right foot. I have never broken a bone in my body, even though I fell off my bike numerous times. I did not know what a broken bone felt like and I remember my dad tell me that if you can put weight on it, then it is not broken. This happened on a Wednesday and I knew that I had a regular check-up with my doctor that following Monday so I continued to walk on it until then. I was actually limp walking on it. Finally Monday came and once my doctor saw my foot and how swollen it was she sent me straight to the emergency room of the local hospital. They did an x-ray of my foot and told me it was broken and needed a cast. So I wore a cast on it for about 3 weeks and then they took the cast off and I had to wear a special boot. Just yesterday, May 1 2013, I was told that I need not wear the boot any longer. Yeah!!! No more boot!! I am wearing regular everyday shoes!!!  It really feels good to get out of that boot once and for all. Now I can get back to living!!
Now that the temperature here is warming up, it is time to get some things done around my apartment. First thing on the agenda is to get new windows put in, one in my kitchen and one in my living room. I am so happy that it is getting nicer and warmer outside. I believe that the reason why I love the spring so much is because I was born in the spring. I have always loved spring!!
One more announcement. I am officially a book reviewer. I read and review books for Liberty Ann Liberty and Marika Weber, they have a group on Facebook. The link to two of my reviews are: Review of Afterglow by Ute Carbone and Uncharted by Chris Almeida. Just click on the links.
Well, that is all for now. I will insert 3 or 4 comics that I enjoy for today. I will make another post tomorrow. Have a lovely day everyone!!

Pickles by Brian Crane

B.C. by Mastroianni and Hart

Garfield by Jim Davis

If there are any other comics that you would like me to post then please feel free to leave me a comment and I will do my best to post it.

April 11 2013

Hello all. Here is my daily thoughts for April 11, 2013. I am STILL trying to get my physical therapy approved by my insurance company. The woman that I am dealing with there has not returned any of my phone calls. I am getting a little PO'd. Tomorrow my sister and I are going to my insurance company and we are going to stay there until we get some results. Has anyone else ever had problems when dealing with their insurance company? BTW, my foot is doing better but my leg still feels a little weak. That is why I need PT.
Well, the weekend is almost here and I have some reading to do. I am going to post a review of Silk Is For Seduction by Loretta Chase on here sometime on Saturday plus I am going to read Second Time's the Charm by Melissa Keir:

Here are a couple of todays comics:

B.C.

Calvin and Hobbes

For Better Or Worse

Well, have a great night everyone!!

April 10, 2013

Hello everyone! Today is Wednesday and my plans for the day include trying to get my physical therapy for my injured foot going. I have to make a few phone calls but hopefully everything works out. It is a cold a rainy day here in SW Michigan. Spring has not sprung yet but she is on the way. My foot is healing fine. I can walk on it but my leg muscle below my knee feels weak therefore I have to go to physical therapy to get that back into shape.
There will be a posting of a review of mine that I did for another website. I will post the link here when it is posted. I am, however, posting a review of Silk Is For Seduction by Loretta Chase by this weekend.

Here are a few comics to help get your day started:

Ziggy

Garfield

Calvin and Hobbes

Well, that is all for now. Please leave me a comment so that I know you stopped by and let me know what else you would like me to post. Take care everyone and have a wonderful Wednesday!!  :)  :)

April 9, 2013

Hello all. I had a terrific time with my family in the last two days. Yesterday (Monday) I spent the night at my twin sister' home watching the NCAA Men's Division I Championship game between University of Michigan and Louisville. I was, of course, cheering for UofM but they lost. :(  :(  Oh well. I spent the night there. Today I spent the afternoon with my older sister while we did a few errands. I also received an email from my folks who live in New Mexico. All-in-all, I had a terrific day.
Now I am going to post a couple comics for your entertaining pleasure:

                                                           Calvin and Hobbes

Non-Sequitur

Garfield

I hope you enjoyed these. If there are any others that you would like me to post, then please leave me a comment. Have a great day!!!  :)  :)  :)
